SMARTER Project Presentations at Conferences and Meetings – Aug25-Oct25
Patrick Statham (Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult) presented on the SMARTER project in a presentation titled “Towards Industry 4.0: Development of a Smart Bioprocessing Platform for Autologous Cell Therapy” at the Bioprocessing Summit in Boston, in August 2025. Don’t miss out watching Patrick’s follow-up interview in a short video here to get updated on project key results.
Vincenzo Di Cerbo (Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult), Sandra Dienemann (Leibniz University Hannover) and Juan Carlos García Cañaveras (Health Research Institute La Fe) represented SMARTER Consortium in an annual meeting organised by the European Commission’s European Innovation Council on EU-funded Cell and Gene Therapy projects. The meeting took place in Seville (6th October 2025), where SMARTER most exciting project results so far were presented. Furthermore, potential future synergies and ways of securing follow-on private and public funding for European Innovation Council-supported initiatives were also discussed.
John Churchwell (Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult) presented on the SMARTER project at the 10th Bioproduction Congress (BIOPC2025) in Lyon in September 2025 with the following Poster: “Towards industry 4.0: development of a smart bioprocessing platform integrating real-time monitoring and advanced process control for autologous cell therapy”
Sandra Dienemann (Leibniz University Hannover) and Mateusz Filipiak (Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult) presented the following respective posters at European Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (ESGCT) in Seville in October 2025:
“Towards industry 4.0: development of a smart bioprocessing platform integrating real-time monitoring and advanced process control for autologous cell therapy”
“Chemometric modelling of important biomarkers for online fluorescence monitoring of tumour-infiltrating lymphocyte cultivations”
